  • Plant Lectins

Speaker: Jill Stansbury. Lectins are responsible for a variety of cell to cell communications in the tissues, including the blood, lymph, spleen and digestive tissue. Although some plants high in lectins can trigger an allergic response, others promote immune modulation. Castor bean, Phytolacca and Viscum are discussed for their high lectin content and immunomodulating properties.
