Speaker: Chanchal Cabrera. These phenolic derivatives give the dark color to teak, mahogany and walnut, provide the anti-parasitic properties of Pau d’arco and give the irritant laxative qualities to cascara and senna. In this illustrated lecture we discuss how to use them safely and effectively for a wide array of clinical applications. We also consider side effects, contraindications and herb/drug interactions.
